Has anyone any experience of using this ADC/DAC combo device? If so any views?

I had one on loan, but it died.  Seemed to do the job, up to that point.

If you want to record to a DSD file format, then you will have to look else where.

One thing I like to know is whether  the speakers will be muted  with the headphones plugged in or will they both play at the same time.

Which speakers do you mean Indy?  The ones on your computer?

In any case, if you have told VinylStudio to direct playback to the GT40, that's where it will go.

I was concerned about the speakers attached to the receiver or the headphones. It would be nice if you had the option to listen to receiver speakers, headphones or both.

OK.  Don't think VS has any control over the speakers connected to your receiver.
