Title: Keep intertrack gaps from LP's
Post by: Andy Morris on April 11, 2025, 01:32:18 PM
Is there anyway I can set the parameters for Scan For Track Breaks so that I don't introduce any gaps between tracks.

To keep the I like keep the intertrack silences between tracks from the original LP sound and put the track marker at 0.5 seconds before the next track comes in?

Sorry, no.  You'll have to tweak the track breaks manually.

Can you not find your albums on Discogs?  That's generally more reliable than scanning and won't insert (or, rather, elide) any gaps.

Discogs timings are often not accurate. Also It depends on how much run in and run out you have recorded.

I don't think there is anyway one can move the music relative to the ticks. Which would be probably over egging VinylStudio. We have Audacity

Try dragging the first track break marker while holding down the Alt key.  That moves the markers as a group.

That works a treat. Thanks

To be clear I believe it only moves the track break that is being moved and all those that come after the one you are dragging.

That is correct.  The best workflow is to drag the tracks for side 1 (and side 2) and then those for side 2.
