Don't forget to consider your playback software compatibility with your DAC. It should make things easier.

My Korg DS-DAC-10R still works with Aidirvana, but the software can't lock the Korg to have exclusive access. Not sure what the downside is.

Below is compatibility list for Adirvana Origin that I use.

Thanks for the response.
I may be totally confused but I think that problem is with streaming?

Indy33

Streaming ???

I thought you said your NuWave Phono Converter died.

Paul Sanders (AlpineSoft)

@tte I think what Indy is saying is that playing DSD recordings is not the same as playing 'traditional' recordings.

What DAC are you planning to use?  One that knows about DSD?  There's not much point, otherwise.

Sorry for my lack of clarity.

I use a Benchmark DAC2 HGC and store the digital files in J River.

I just need an ADC. I have other phono stages so I just need that one piece.

Why not send the PS Audio NuWave Phono Converter back to PS Audio for repair?

Returning it for repair was the first thing I tried but they no longer have any parts for repairs.

Indy33

Really , is that old?

I would be a little frustrated with that news from PS Audio. I thought they were better than that!
