Hello.
I have just downloaded the Pro version of Vinyl Studio.
I am in Australia and want to get a phono Pre-amp. I would like some suggestions on a good unit,Mid range or just above.
I don't need to spend a lot of Dollars at the moment as i'm new to this. I would like to know what pre-amp is compattable with the software as some of the units here i am not sure about. They don't give you much information.
I have a audio-technica AT-LP60X Turntable and using a Creative Soundblaster Audigy Rx Soundcard.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Hi,

Presumably your soundcard has a line-in socket, so you don't need a USB device.  This gives you a lot of choice and I would shop around for a conventional preamp (as opposed to a USB one) that suits your budget.  You might find something on eBay.

I have been very happy with my IFI ZEN phono preamp.  Very reasonably priced, supports low and high MC as well as MM cartridges, and has a rumble filter.

Sounds incredible to my ears with an AT OC9 XEN MC cartridge...

I've been using the Rolls VP29. Its very basic but does exactly what I need it to do and I think it sounds great. I'm using it along side a Korg DS-DAC 10R so I can record inside VS using DSD and its been solid. No issues at all.

Sorry about the delay in replying.
Thank you all for the information. It has given me something to think about.
