Adding New Tracks to Existing Album

From time to time (like this morning), I find that I have ended recording an album side too early and the music, therefore, stops prematurely on the recorded side. I know I can edit out that incomplete track from the album. What I am seeking to do is to re-record just the incomplete track and splice it into the album? My current practice has been to delete the entire side and re-record it again.

What you can do is

• Record the missing track(s) as a new album side (let's call it side 3)
• Drag the album sides into the correct order in the olist of files in the Record or Split Tracks window.
