Too many track splits after update

I recently did the automatic upgrade for VinylStudio and ever since, I'm getting far too many track breaks when I scan - especially in between sides, where I'll get 10-12 in seemingly dead space. This is after declicking too so not sure what's triggering it, and no matter what variations of settings I use it's either way too many, or the other direction - just three or four with too few, there doesn't seem to be a sweet spot any longer. Prior to this update this was working pretty flawlessly. Anybody else have this happen, and have any suggestions?
