Good Day All,

I am moving from Mac to Windows and hoping that this will enable me to record and clean up my recordings in one application.  I use a Korg DS-DAC-10R and record in DSD64.  After a bit of fiddling, I have it working, but am not able to applucation RIAA equalization to the recording.  If the format is DSD64, the equalization tick box is greyed out, and I can only enable it by selecting PCM.  Does this mean that I cannot record directly to DSD?  I am able to do this with Korg's AudioGate, but was hoping to not have to use both programs.

Paul Sanders (AlpineSoft)

DSD is a non-editable format, which is why the box is greyed out.  AudioGate cheats.  If you tell it to apply equalisation, it converts to PCM and back again.  A better bet is to purchase a proper phono preamp.

Ah, this is interesting.  I know DSD is not editable, so I had assumed the RIAA was happening within the Korg.  Thanks, putting a phono pre-amp in isn't a problem
