Good Day All,

I am moving from Mac to Windows and hoping that this will enable me to record and clean up my recordings in one application.  I use a Korg DS-DAC-10R and record in DSD64.  After a bit of fiddling, I have it working, but am not able to applucation RIAA equalization to the recording.  If the format is DSD64, the equalization tick box is greyed out, and I can only enable it by selecting PCM.  Does this mean that I cannot record directly to DSD?  I am able to do this with Korg's AudioGate, but was hoping to not have to use both programs.

DSD is a non-editable format, which is why the box is greyed out.  AudioGate cheats.  If you tell it to apply equalisation, it converts to PCM and back again.  A better bet is to purchase a proper phono preamp.

Ah, this is interesting.  I know DSD is not editable, so I had assumed the RIAA was happening within the Korg.  Thanks, putting a phono pre-amp in isn't a problem

You can record DSD natively in Vinyl Studio. I use the same Korg device as you but im also using a Rolls VP29 as the pre-amp into the Korg unit. The RIAA equalization on the Rolls is pretty good so im not bothering with setting up RIAA in VS. Here's my input setup for the device. You have to have the Korg ASIO drivers installed for this to work natively.

That and Audiogate just sucks. Its fine for playback but recording is completely useless.
