Hello.
I posted a question before about purchasing a Pre-Amp. I have got one and hooked it up now my Vinyl Studio doesn't recognise it. It recognises my Soundcard as Input and Output but no Pre-Amp in the drop down box for Input.
The way it's connected is . Single cord from AUX into Turntable to Red & White Male RCA plugs into phono in on Pre-Amp then Red& White Male RCA plugs from Line Out on Pre-Amp into single cord to Line In on Soundcard. I can hear music from my LP when i run the Turntable through my Soundcard. Should i remove my Souncard.
Any Suggestions would be helpful.
Regards
Brian

Hi,

I'm a bit confused.  What does VinylStudio display in the Input Device dropdown in the Check Level dialog?  Do any of those work?

BigB

Hi Paul.
I might have misled you. In the Input Device Drop down it doesn't show VinylStudio. It shows .

Use default recording device(currently "WHAT U HEAR" on Sound Blaster Audigy 5/Rx)
"WHAT U HEAR" on Sound Blaster Audigy 5/Rx.
Microphone on USBMIC1
Loopback (What U Hear)

When i open Change Playback Device the speakers from the soundcard come up and i can hear the test tune from Vinylstudio through them. Any way i will wait till after Christmas to fix the problem. For some reason the signal from the Turntable just isn't getting to the Software. It tells me it's recording but the VU Meters aren't moving . I choose the LP and get the names of the songs in the search ,some times it comes up with all the information and other times it doesn't.I am pretty sure that i have followed the instructions on how to set it up to record a LP.
Regards
Brian. Merry Christmas
