The easiest way to record singles or 78s is to add each side of each single or 78 to your collection as a separate album and check the This is a single box in the Record window. VinylStudio will then:

As of VinylStudio 13, there is now also a way to add a single to your collection that treats both sides as a single album, something which many people might prefer.
To do this, create an album where the album title is the names of the two sides of the single separated by a forward slash (/) or vertical bar (|). Then record both sides of the single as normal and VinylStudio will automatically create a track for each side with the appropriate name.
Thus, for example, if you wanted to record Elvis Costello's Watching the Detectives (which features Alison on the B side), you would:
